Kevin McCloskey<\/h1>\n

Kevin McCloskey will be on leave in Fall 2018 and returning to Kutztown\u2019s campus for Spring 2019.
\nHe is traveling to promote his new book, Snails are Just My Speed, and researching two future book projects.<\/p>\n

Kevin McCloskey, MFA, The School of Visual Arts, New York, NY. Post-graduate studies in African Art and Design at Kwame Nkrumah University, Ghana, West Africa.<\/p>\n

He is the author and illustrator of the popular \u2018Giggle and Learn\u2019 series of hardcover comics published by Toon Books. His humorous illustrations have appeared in The Village Voice and The New York Times. His first children\u2019s picture book, Mrs. Fitz\u2019s Flamingos, was a selection of the Children\u2019s Book of the Month Club. <\/p>\n

Besides his interest in comics for children, he has a special interest in modern Mexican political prints. He has curated eight exhibitions of Mexican prints across the U.S, notably at the Fowler Museum, UCLA.<\/p>\n
